- Am an economist investigating the activities of global firms, focussing on how technology/ ideas get transferred across borders. In my free time (what's that again?) - I write stories for middle-grade and young adults. Am currently working on a YA novel ...a dsytopia (think Rick Riordain meets Philip K. Dick!) Am keen for a cracking great story (Dick, Asimov, Huxley, Riordan and countless others ). My other passions are history (especially 18th century) and 'extreme gardening'.
